SQL Server 2008

SQL Server 2008 is an evolutionary update to SQL Server 2005.  If you learned SQL Server 2005, you'll find that you can easily master SQL Server 2008.  In contrast, SQL Server 2005 was a revolutionary update to SQL Server 2000.  There were many differences.

There are three MCITP certifications on SQL Server 2008. They are:

MCITP: Database Administrator 2008
Pursue this certification if you currently, or plan to design, deploy, optimize, and maintain SQL Server 2008 servers.
To earn this certification, you must pass two exams:
MCITP: Database Developer 2008
Pursue this certification if you currently, or plan to design, create, deploy, and maintain database solutions by using SQL Server 2008. To earn this certification, you must pass two exams:
MCITP: Database Business Intelligence Developer 2008
Pursue this certification if you currently, or plan to design, create, deploy, and maintain business intelligence solutions by using SQL Server 2008
